Gallery Choir
Our first rehearsal of the season is open to visitors!
Come and visit with the ringers and singers of First Church, enjoy some light refreshments and “sit in” on either Bell Choir or Gallery Choir...or both! Child care will be made available if requested; please call the Church Office before noon on September 3rd.

Who: All singers, high school age and up
What: SATB choir, learning and presenting a wide variety of music
When: Thursday evenings, 8 pm; Sunday warm-up, 9:15 am
Where: Music Room in the Meetinghouse
Why: Provide musical leadership for 10:00 Worship Service.
Under the guidance of Music Director Mark D. Watkins, the Choir sings every week as part of the 10:00 Worship Service.
New members are always welcome! No auditions necessary.
Festival Choir

Who: All singers, high school age and up
What: SATB choir which focuses on performance pieces (Cantatas, etc.)
When: Thursday evenings, 7:30 - 8 pm; warm-up for concerts, etc., TBA
Where: Music Room in the Meetinghouse
Why: To reach out to the congregation and community through music.
This special scheduling is designed to accommodate singers who cannot commit to the weekly schedule of the Gallery Choir, but who wish to sing for special occasions. New members are always welcome! Auditions are not required, but the Director may ask to hear your voice to ensure most efficient placement.
Bell Choir

Who: Ringers, high school age and up
What: Learning and presenting a variety of handbell music
When: Thursday evenings, 6:30 – 7:15 pm
Where: Music Room in the Meetinghouse
Why: Enhance the 10:00 Worship Service monthly, other opportunities.
This group consists of “ringers” of all ability levels. Reading music is helpful but not necessary. In addition to playing in Worship from time to time, the Bell Choir also takes part in occasional concerts.
Children's Choirs
Cherub Choir is for three to six year olds and is held during Sunday class time. The Director is Jennifer Osowiecki and she fosters a love of singing in a warm, positive environment.
Genesis Generation is for children in grades one through five and takes place immediately after the 10:00 service in the Music Room of the meetinghouse. Organist and Choir Master, Mark Watkins, leads the children in singing, tone chimes, moving to music and lots of fun! Mark would love to hear from you at www.markwatkinsorganist@yahoo.com.
Music Scholarship
Lucille Hempel Parker Music Scholarship is available to all members of the congregation with an interest in music. This scholarship honors the wife of Pastor Emeritus, the Reverend F. Van Gorder Parker. For more information contact the church office at 860-688-7229.
